Wireless Engineer (Carrier Grade)

Location: Greenwood Village, CO (Local/Nearby Candidates Preferred)

Compensation: $70/hr on W2

Engagement: W2 Candidates Only

Job Summary

We are seeking a high-caliber Wireless Engineer to join our team in Greenwood Village. This role focuses on the design, deployment, and optimization of "big boy" networks—large-scale, carrier-grade environments with a high blast radius. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity across WiFi 4 through WiFi 7 standards, requiring a blend of proactive problem-solving and deep technical mastery.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Deployment: Manage and scale live, carrier-grade wireless networks (ISP level).

• Standards Mastery: Implement and troubleshoot IEEE 802.11 variants (WiFi 4–7) and related industry specifications (ANSI, Bridging, Ethernet).

• Manual Network Crawling: Comfortably navigate and audit complex network architectures manually when automated tools aren't enough.

• Infrastructure Design: Utilize Visio and wireless design software to develop robust network topologies and architectures.

• Routing & Switching: Apply strong proficiency in TCP/IP, OSI models, and core routing/switching protocols to support wireless transport.

• Documentation & Workflow: Maintain rigorous project tracking in Jira and Chalk, ensuring seamless interoperability between the two platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of specialized networking experience, with at least 5+ years specifically in Wireless Network Engineering.

• WiFi Standards: Non-negotiable expertise in WiFi 4, 5, 6, and 7.

• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of Cisco, Arris, or Ruckus hardware and carrier-grade deployments.

• Tools: High proficiency in Jira and Chalk; Confluence knowledge is a significant plus.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

• Certification: CCNP Wireless (or equivalent vendor-specific professional certification).
