General Manager for Kolkata

Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets for TMT bars while ensuring strict quality control to minimize defects and reworks.

• Manage the entire production cycle, including Induction Furnace (SMS), Continuous Casting Machine (CCM), and Rolling Mill operations.

• Monitor raw material consumption (sponge iron, scrap, ferroalloys) and manage inventory levels to prevent bottlenecks.

• Focus on reducing operational costs (conversion cost, power consumption) to enhance profitability.

• Oversee plant maintenance scheduling (preventive and breakdown) for machinery.

• Overseeing day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.

• Ensuring adherence to legal, safety, and industry regulations.

Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years in operations management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience as a GM, Department Head, or similar executive role is critical.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field

• Experience in hiring, mentoring, and leading cross-functional teams to boost performance and build a positive culture.

• Must have prior experience into TMT Bars/ Iron & Sponge/ Steel fabrication/casting

• Preference will be given to candidate residing in Durgapur

• Looking for an immediate joiner.
