Position:         Dy. Manager/Manager - Tool Room

Location:        Vapi

Experience:     6 - 10 Years

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, manufacture, and repair high-precision progressive tools, dies, and injection molds.
• Ensure proper maintenance and timely refurbishment of tools to maximize tool life.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Provide continuous tooling support to ensure zero downtime in press shop operations.
• Coordinate with production teams to meet output and quality targets.
• Supervise CNC, EDM, wire-cut, and conventional machining operations.
• Ensure tooling is manufactured within required tolerances and specifications.
• Monitor machining processes and implement improvements for efficiency.
• Ensure tools produce components as per customer specifications (dimensional accuracy and conductivity).
• Conduct regular inspections and maintain quality standards.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
• Manage tool inventory and ensure availability of critical materials and spares.
• Handle procurement of raw materials such as die steel.
• Optimize tooling costs through effective planning and process improvements.
• Lead, train, and mentor tool room staff and toolmakers.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices and maintenance procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in tooling and processes.
