Job Description:

This is a business unit leadership role, not a supervisory one. You will own the LT Panel manufacturing operation end-to-end — from order release to dispatch — and be accountable for its P&L, quality, delivery, and team. You report directly to the CEO and are the single point of accountability for everything that happens inside this facility.

What You Will Own

Manufacturing & Quality — Run end-to-end production from order release to dispatch. Own the schedule, the quality system, and the FAT. When something goes wrong on the floor, it lands on your desk.

People — Lead a team of five direct reports covering design, production, quality, stores, and administration. Build capability, set standards, and handle performance directly.

P&L— Own the business unit's operating budget, control material costs, and approve purchases within the company's authority matrix. This is not a cost-centre role — you are accountable for margin.

Customer & Business Development — Attend FATs, manage relationships during production, and work with Sales on proposals and costing. Repeat business from satisfied customers is part of your scorecard.

What We Need

  • Deep working knowledge of LT panel design and manufacturing: IEC 61439, IS 8623, busbar sizing, IPQC, Hi-Pot testing, and FAT protocols
  • Proven experience managing a team on a panel manufacturing floor — not just working on one.
  • Ability to read and review electrical drawings, schematics, and BOMs
  • Comfortable with ERP systems for production planning, procurement, and inventory (Microsoft BC 365 is our platform)
  • Strong enough technically to call out a wrong design decision; strong enough commercially to discuss margin and cost with the CEO

After six months, the production floor runs without you needing to solve every problem. After twelve months, customers comment on the reliability of our delivery and the quality of our FATs. After two years, the team you have built can handle a 40% increase in order volume without adding headcount proportionally.
