Engineer - Process / Technology Transfer

Job Description:

1. Process Engineer will prepare procedures, practices, and codes and standards in various aspects of Operation, Process Design , Technical troubleshooting.
2. Knowledgeable of and performs standard discipline engineering activities on projects with minimal technical oversight
3. Demonstrated experience in process simulation and automation preferred
4. Apply basic chemical engineering principals of heat transfer, vapor-liquid equilibria, mass transfer and thermodynamics in process design
5. Conversant in relief calculation methodologies and industry codes and standards applicable to pressure relief design. Develop relief load narratives, relief load calculations and relief valve datasheets.
6. Perform design calculations using standard simulation programs / Softwares (Aspen , DWSIM, pipenet, Flaresim etc) or from Excel Sheet , Fomula using from Engineering standard.
7. Data Sheet preparation including vessels, columns, heat exchangers and package process specifications for equipment and control valves.
8. Develop process engineering deliverables such as BFDs, PFDs, H&MBs, Equipment Datasheets, Utility. Summaries and other process deliverables required for the facility design.
9. Knowledgeable in alarm and trip setpoint rationale and process safety time calculations.
10. Develop and check Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), from preliminary drawings to issue for construction
11. Develop and check Line Designation Tables (line lists with process and mechanical design conditions captured)123 Perform and check hydraulic calculations – for pumps, compressors, control valves, and line sizing
12. Participate in safety reviews HAZID, HAZOP.
13. Batch process chemistry Study, Batch time cycle optimization, process optimization, Key identification of Pain Areas & subsequently resolve the technical issues
