Job Description:
A Sales Officer for a scaffolding company is responsible for selling scaffolding products (sales/rental) and related services (erection/dismantling) to construction companies, industrial contractors, and project managers. They build client relationships, prepare quotations, and ensure the achievement of sales targets. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Actively seek new construction projects, contractors, and industrial clients to build the sales pipeline.
  • Customer Engagement: Meet with clients to identify project needs, provide technical product recommendations, and build lasting relationships.
  • Quotations and Tenders: Prepare detailed technical quotations, proposals, and tender documents in coordination with the engineering team.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, rental terms, and contract conditions with clients to close sales.
  • Internal Coordination: Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of scaffolding materials.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, update customer details, and track sales performance against targets.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess client needs and inspect the progress of services. 
     
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: Proven experience in B2B sales, specifically within the construction, scaffolding, or formwork industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of scaffolding products, technical aspects of tube-and-clamp systems, and safety standards.
  • Communication: Excellent negotiation and communication skills for interacting with site managers and purchasing departments.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.

  • Sales Volume (Value of sales/rentals)

  • Customer retention rate
  • Accuracy of quotations and timely delivery of proposals
