Opening for Safety (General Safety) in Pharma MNC Company at Digwal

Job Description:

1. Execute Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) responsibilities to ensure a safe working environment.
2. Safeguard the health and safety of all employees through proactive measures.
3. Provide instructions and organize initiatives to prevent personal injuries.
4. Ensure the display of safety instructions for employee awareness and compliance.
5. Advise on safe storage, handling, and processing of chemicals.
6. Offer guidance on safety aspects during job studies and conduct detailed hazard analyses for selected tasks.
7. Ensure implementation of statutory safety requirements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
8. Oversee the procurement of high-quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
9. Manage fire protection systems, including the provision and maintenance of firefighting equipment.
10. Conduct plant safety inspections and coordinate with department heads to rectify unsafe conditions.
11. Perform internal safety audits under the supervision of the OHS Manager.
12. Establish and manage the Safety Committee with equal representation from staff and workers; organize meetings and maintain records.
13. Investigate occupational illnesses and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
14. Conduct training on Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
15. Provide employee training in safety, fire prevention, and first aid.
16. Promote fire safety through regular employee training programs.
17. Issue and verify work permits to ensure safe execution of tasks.
18. Carry out responsibilities delegated by the OHS Manager.
19. Assume the responsibilities of senior personnel in their absence

Job Timings - 8 hours
