Job Description:
The Project Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational tasks for PMGSY road projects, including monitoring progress, maintaining Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), and managing documentation, ensuring that all activities adhere to NRRDA guidelines. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Assist in creating and tracking the project work plan, identifying roadblocks, and ensuring construction activities adhere to the schedule.
  • Documentation Management (DPRs & MIS): Maintain and update project documents, including Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), site reports, and data entry into the OMMAS (Online Management, Monitoring, and Accounting System).
  • Coordination & Liaison: Act as a bridge between the PIUs, State Technical Agencies (STA), and contractors to facilitate technical scrutiny of proposals.
  • Quality & Monitoring Support: Assist in gathering data for quality monitoring reports (SQM/NQM) and ensure that corrective actions are implemented based on inspection reports.
  • Resource Coordination: Monitor the availability of materials and personnel on site to prevent delays in road construction.
  • Reporting: Generate regular status reports on project progress, budget usage, and milestone achievements for management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with PMGSY guidelines for bidding, contract management, and fund flow. 
     
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: Graduate degree in Civil Engineering, or a B.Sc./BA with project management experience.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience, preferably in civil construction or rural infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) is crucial for data handling; familiarity with project management software is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple road stretches.
    • Problem-solving capacity to handle site-specific issues.
  • Location: Knowledge of the local language is highly desirable for coordinating with rural stakeholders and field workers.

  • Adherence to project timelines (completion of milestones by date).
  • Accuracy and timeliness of MIS data entry.
  • Reduction in project delays.
  • Quality standards compliance (successful inspections).
