Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant / GST professional for the role of Senior GST Manager to lead a team of 8 members and manage end-to-end GST operations and compliance. The role is primarily focused on GST with strong ownership of departmental activities, compliance, and team management.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a GST team of 8 members and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Oversee end-to-end GST compliance including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and other statutory filings
Ensure accurate GST reconciliations including input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation with GSTR-2B
Review GST workings, returns, and compliance prepared by the team
Handle GST audits, assessments, notices, and departmental communications
Act as the primary point of contact for GST-related matters within the organization
Ensure compliance with updated GST laws, rules, and notifications
Guide and mentor team members for process improvement and efficiency
Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, and external consultants
Drive process standardisation and compliance accuracy across the GST function

Role Focus
Approximately 90% of the role will be dedicated to GST activities and compliance
Remaining responsibilities may include additional indirect tax or related finance tasks based on performance and business requirements
The core responsibility remains GST leadership and team management

Required Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
1–4 years of experience in GST and indirect taxation
Strong hands-on experience in GST compliance, audits, and assessments
Proven experience in team handling or leadership roles
Strong knowledge of GST laws, rules, and practical implementation

Preferred Skills
Experience in handling large-scale GST operations
Exposure to manufacturing/service industry compliance
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
ERP experience (SAP / Oracle / Tally) preferred
