JR. SUPERVISOR FOR PMGSY PROJECT - KAWARDHA , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

• Site Supervision: Overseeing daily construction activities, including earthwork, sub-base preparation, road surfacing (bituminous or concrete), and drainage structures.
• Quality Control: Implementing quality control measures in coordination with the Program Implementation Unit (PIU), ensuring materials meet standards, and overseeing field laboratory tests.
• Progress Monitoring: Monitoring progress against the defined work schedule and ensuring the project is completed within the allotted time and budget.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate site records, such as daily progress reports, material consumption logs, and site diaries.
• Contractor Coordination: Coordinating with contractors, vendors, and laborers to ensure smooth work execution.
• Safety Compliance: Ensuring all safety protocols, such as using protective gear and maintaining a safe work environment, are followed. 
   

• Experience: Generally requires 4+ years of hands-on experience in civil site supervision, preferably in road and bridge construction (PMGSY or PWD projects).
• Education: A diploma in Civil Engineering is often preferred, though experienced site workers may be considered, especially for private contracting firms working under the PMGSY scheme.
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and understand technical construction drawings and project specifications.
• Skills: Proficiency in supervising labor, monitoring construction material usage, and strong communication skills.
• Mobility: Willingness to work at rural, remote sites and potentially travel between multiple sites.
