Team Lead - Safety(Workplace Safety)
Job Description:
Responsibility :
1. Implement and monitor workplace safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal and company standards.
2. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across plant operations.
3. Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
4. Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, factory safety norms, and chemical handling protocols.
5. Conduct safety induction and periodic training programs for employees and contractors.
6. Monitor usage of PPE and enforce safety practices at the workplace.
7. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
8. Coordinate emergency preparedness activities including mock drills, firefighting, and evacuation plans.
9. Maintain records related to safety audits, incidents, permits, and statutory compliance.
10. Liaise with government authorities for inspections, approvals, and statutory compliance.
11. Support implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems for hazardous jobs.
12. Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement and awareness programs.
