Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented In-House Corporate Lawyer to manage the company’s legal, compliance, and contractual matters. The role will involve working closely with leadership, finance, HR, and external consultants to ensure strong legal governance while enabling business growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Legal & Compliance

• Manage day-to-day corporate legal matters and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Coordinate with Company Secretary (CS) on:
• ROC filings and statutory compliances
• Board meeting notices, agendas, and minutes
• Equity/share transfer documentation
• Support legal aspects of fundraising, due diligence, and investor documentation

2. Contract Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including
• Vendor and service agreements
• Partnership and business agreements
• Customer and channel partner contracts
• Ensure risk mitigation through strong contract structuring and documentation

3. Licenses & Regulatory

• Oversee procurement, renewal, and maintenance of all business licenses and registrations
• Liaise with regulatory authorities as required

4. Litigation & Dispute Management

• Handle legal notices, disputes, and recovery-related matters
• Coordinate with external counsel for litigation strategy and execution
• Manage documentation and tracking of ongoing cases

5. Employment & Internal Legal Matters

• Draft and manage employee agreements and HR-related legal documentation
• Handle employee disputes and internal investigations
• Coordinate and support POSH Committee (Prevention of Sexual Harassment):
• Documentation, compliance, and case handling

6. Strategic & Expansion Support

• Assist in foreign entity formation and cross-border legal documentation
• Support business expansion initiatives from a legal and compliance standpoint
• Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and compliance frameworks
• Experience in startup/fast-paced environments preferred
• Ability to balance legal rigor with business practicality
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• High ownership mindset and attention to detail

Educational Qualification

• LLB / LLM from a reputed institution
• Qualified to practice law in India
