Logistics Executive / Logistics Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics professional to manage end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of products to customers. The role involves close coordination across the entire supply chain—from order confirmation through production, warehousing, dispatch, and shipment—for both domestic and export orders.
The ideal candidate should have experience in engineering/manufacturing industries, strong knowledge of logistics processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end logistics activities for all products manufactured against confirmed customer orders.
Coordinate with Sales, Production, Planning, Stores, Warehousing, Dispatch, and other internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Liaise with customers, distributors, transporters, freight forwarders, and other external stakeholders for seamless order execution.
Plan and maintain optimum inventory of packing materials and ensure timely procurement.
Design and select appropriate packaging solutions to ensure safe transportation while optimizing costs.
Oversee material handling and storage activities to ensure product safety until dispatch.
Select the most suitable mode of transportation and negotiate freight rates for domestic and export shipments.
Monitor logistics costs and drive cost optimization through efficient packing, transportation, and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, ISO standards, HSEQ guidelines, and company policies.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and supply chain operations.
Candidate Requirements
4–5 years of experience in logistics within an engineering or manufacturing industry.
Experience handling both domestic and export shipments.
Sound knowledge of Incoterms, export/import documentation, shipping regulations, and logistics compliance.
Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams in a multinational environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
Comfortable working closely with shop-floor personnel and operational teams.
Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Skills
Experience working in an SAP environment.
Knowledge of freight costing, rate contracts, insurance claims, and transportation negotiations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational abilities.
Qualifications
Essential
Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
4–5 years of relevant logistics experience in handling complex engineered products.
Preferred
Experience in engineering/manufacturing organizations.
Exposure to international logistics and export documentation.
Working Conditions
Primarily plant-based role with minimal travel within India.
Flexibility to support business requirements beyond standard working hours, when required.
