Machine Maintenance engineer
Job Description:
Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of injection moulding machines and plant utilities to ensure smooth production operations. The role includes performing preventive maintenance, minimizing machine downtime, maintaining utilities, and supporting production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer
Injection Moulding Machine Maintenance
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues in machines.
- Ensure machines operate efficiently with minimum downtime.
- Coordinate with production team to quickly resolve machine-related issues.
- Maintain machine maintenance records and reports.
Utility Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain plant utilities including:
- Air compressors
- Chillers
- Cooling towers
- Water pumps
- Electrical panels and power systems
- Ensure uninterrupted utility supply to production lines.
Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machines and utilities.
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Identify potential problems and take corrective action.
Spare Parts & Inventory
- Maintain critical spare parts inventory for machines and utilities.
- Coordinate with the purchase department for procurement of spare parts.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow safety standards and company maintenance procedures.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with factory safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Injection Moulding Machines and Plastic Processing Equipment
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Basic knowledge of PLC and automation systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
