Job Description:
An Ayushman Bharat Incharge (often referred to as an Ayushman Coordinator or Manager) in a hospital manages the end-to-end operationalization of the PM-JAY scheme. Key responsibilities include beneficiary verification, handling pre-authorizations, managing claims on the Transaction Management System (TMS), and ensuring timely billing to reduce claim rejection rates.
Key Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Transaction Management: Handling Pre-Authorization requests and final claim submissions on the Ayushman Bharat Portal.
- Patient Verification: Utilizing the Beneficiary Identification System (BIS) to verify eligibility using Aadhaar or ration cards.
- Hospital Coordination: Working with medical staff to gather clinical notes, diagnostic reports, and discharge summaries for claims.
- Query Resolution: Acting as the focal point for resolving queries from the insurance company, TPA, or State Health Agency.
- Patient Support: Guiding beneficiaries regarding entitlements and facilitating cashless treatment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in hospital TPA, medical billing, or insurance is highly desirable, often requiring 1-3 years of experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in the Ayushman Bharat portal and MS Office.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with patients and staff.
