Pilot Plant Operator - Research & Development
Job Description:
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Operate pilot plant equipment – autoclaves, precipitation reactors, furnaces & utilities as per SOPs
• Handle forming equipment – extruders, mixers, spray dryers & coating systems
• Operate characterization tools like XRD for plant & R&D batches
• Use lab instruments – pH meter, viscometer, TDS meter, moisture balance
• Execute batch trials, scale-up & process optimization studies
• Monitor process parameters – temperature, pressure, flow & residence time
• Maintain accurate batch logs & process data
• Support sampling, in-process analysis & material handling
• Ensure strict safety compliance (especially high-pressure systems)
• Troubleshoot equipment/process issues & coordinate with maintenance
• Maintain 5S standards & cleanliness in pilot plant
• Support calibration, validation & maintenance activities
🔹 Required Skills:
✔ Hydrothermal synthesis
✔ Precipitation reactor operation
✔ Chemical handling (acid, alkali & organic)
✔ Process monitoring & downstream processing
✔ Strong safety awareness & vigilance
✔ Good communication skills
