Industrial Sales Executive (B2B – Steel Trading)
Job Description:
Role Overview
We are hiring an Industrial Sales Executive responsible for developing and managing B2B customers within the steel industry. The role involves lead generation, relationship management, inquiry handling, order conversion, dispatch coordination, and payment follow-ups.
This is a complete market development and industrial relationship-driven sales role, working closely with fabricators, OEMs, traders, PEB companies, and project customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Industrial Customer Development
- Identify and connect with:
- Fabricators
- PEB companies
- OEM manufacturers
- Traders & stockists
- Build long-term customer relationships
- Increase share of business from existing customers
- Expand territory coverage and customer base
2. Lead Handling & Inquiry Generation
- Follow up on existing and inactive leads
- Generate new inquiries through:
- Market visits
- References
- Data calling
- Understand customer technical requirements such as:
- Thickness
- Width
- Grade
- Application usage
3. Sales Conversion
- Convert inquiries into confirmed orders
- Negotiate pricing with customers
- Achieve monthly volume and revenue targets
4. Order Execution & Dispatch Coordination
- Coordinate internally for:
- Stock availability
- Processing / cutting requirements
- Dispatch planning
- Ensure timely delivery (OTIF) to customers
5. Payment Collection & Credit Control
- Follow up for timely collections
- Monitor customer credit limits
- Support reduction of outstanding receivables
6. Market Intelligence
- Track competitor pricing trends
- Monitor demand patterns
- Capture customer requirements and feedback
- Support management in pricing decisions
