Job Description:
Responsible for the end-to-end management of employee attendance, shift rosters, and statutory compliance in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role acts as the primary bridge between plant operations and payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attendance & Shift Management: Monitor and verify daily employee attendance using biometric systems. Manage complex shift rosters for plant workers and ensure manpower availability for 24/7 operations.
- Leave & Overtime (OT) Records: Maintain accurate records of leaves and calculate overtime payments based on production requirements and factory regulations.
- Payroll Support: Reconcile attendance data monthly and provide clean reports to the HR/Finance department to ensure accurate and timely salary processing.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the Factories Act, including PF, ESI, and labour law documentation. Handle contract labour compliance and documentation.
- Reporting & Documentation: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on attendance, absenteeism, and OT trends for plant management.
- Administrative Support: Manage visitor passes, gate passes, and liaison with local authorities if required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience specifically in manufacturing plants with shift-based operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables) and experience with Attendance Management Software or ERP (e.g., SAP).
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to manage shop-floor workers and clear communication for reporting to leadership.
- Education: Graduate in any discipline (b.com preferred); professional certification in HR/Labour Laws is an advantage
