Position Title Assistant Manager (Mechanical)

Job Description:

• To ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and reliability of mechanical equipment and utilities.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of machines to ensure minimal downtime.
• Maintain spares inventory and liaise with vendors for repairs and procurement.
• Monitor performance of critical equipment, identify recurring issues, and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Maintain MTBF and MTTR within target.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machines, utilities, and mechanical systems.
• Provide inputs for capacity expansion, modernization, and automation projects.
• Monitor and optimize usage of utilities (compressed air, hydraulic systems, cooling systems, lubrication).
• Support initiatives for cost reduction.
• Maintain maintenance records, calibration schedules, and equipment history cards.
• Ensure safe operation of Machines, Equipment's, Interlocks, Electrical Supply, Pressure Vessels, Cranes, Hoists, Gas Supply and Testing equipment's.
• Knowledge of all operations like Grinding, Milling, Turning, Fitting, etc.
• Guide technicians and fitters in troubleshooting and maintenance practices.
• Ensure safe working of all mechanical systems and adherence to safety standards.
• Support audits, statutory inspections, and certifications of pressure vessels, lifting tackles, etc.
• To achieve the KAI of PM Pillar of TPM as per the Master plan.
• Implementing ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, EnMS 50001:2018, ISO 10002: 2018 and other applicable systems.
• Awareness Legal and other compliances.
• Impart on-the-job training to subordinates.
