Job Description:
Position: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Silvassa
Experience: 1 - 2 Years
Industry: Packaging
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of packaging machines (filling, sealing, labeling, wrapping, etc.)
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
- Ensure minimum downtime and quick fault resolution
- Maintain and update maintenance logs and reports
- Plan and execute scheduled maintenance activities
- Work closely with production teams to improve machine performance
- Implement continuous improvement (Kaizen / Lean practices)
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and SOPs
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of packaging machinery systems
- Understanding of PLC, sensors, drives, and automation
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems (PM/TPM)
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) (especially in FMCG/pharma packaging)
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work in shifts if required
Required Qualification: - Diploma/ITI - Mechanical/Electrical
