Role Overview
The Centre of Excellence for Urban Transport at the organisation focuses on advancing sustainable, efficient, and equitable urban mobility solutions across India.
The Senior Transport Planner will contribute to research, advisory, and capacity-building initiatives. The role involves technical project delivery, transport data management, stakeholder coordination, and business development support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality technical reports, presentations, and analytical tools
- Work on sustainable urban transport projects for government and institutional clients
- Oversee transport data collection, management, and analysis
- Act as a technical liaison with clients and city stakeholders
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and outputs
- Support proposal development and business development activities
- Facilitate knowledge sharing within the organisation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, or related field
- Master’s degree in Transport Planning or Transport Engineering
Experience and Skills
- 4+ years of experience in urban transport planning
- Experience in areas such as e-mobility, metro feasibility studies, city bus planning, or logistics planning
- Strong experience in data analytics, database management, and project delivery
- Prior experience in a Project Management Unit (PMU) environment is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Transport modelling, including Discrete Choice Analysis
- Proficiency in tools such as Python, R, or VBA
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client handling and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in English and Hindi
