Melting Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Melting Engineer to oversee furnace operations and Molds pouring in our iron castings foundry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in induction furnaces, strong metallurgical knowledge, and a proven track record of achieving consistent quality in grey and ductile iron castings.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily melting operations and furnace performance
- Ensure correct charge mix, alloy additions, and chemistry control
- Monitor temperature, slag, and metallurgical properties
- Maintain safety standards in molten metal handling
- Optimize energy and raw material usage
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet casting targets
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Metallurgy, Foundry Technology, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of melting experience in iron castings
- Strong knowledge of spectrometer analysis and furnace maintenance
- Supervisory skills to guide operators and helpers
- Should work in rotational Shifts.
- Budget 5 to 7LPA
