Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Oversee complete accounting and finance operations across the organisation
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Monitor cash flow, fund flow, and working capital on an ongoing basis
  • Conduct variance analysis and ensure accurate and timely MIS reporting to senior management
  • Implement standard costing per product and per batch
  • Budgeting and Cost Control
  • Prepare annual budgets and monitor utilisation across all departments
  • Analyse production costs, raw material costs, utility costs, and operational expenses
  • Identify and drive cost reduction and profitability improvement initiatives
  • Ensure accurate fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure tracking

Banking and Commercial Finance

  • Serve as the primary finance interface with banking partners across nationalised and private banks
  • Manage working capital limits, term loans, letters of credit, bank guarantees, and related documentation
  • Lead coordination for structured finance and project finance requirements
  • Review commercial contracts and payment terms
  • Monitor debtor collections and vendor payment cycles

 

Taxation and Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, and Companies Act
  • Build and maintain an organisation-wide compliance calendar
  • Coordinate with external auditors, CA firms, consultants, and government authorities
  • Handle assessments, notices, and statutory filings in a timely and proactive manner

 

US Subsidiary Finance Operations

  • Manage financial operations of the US subsidiary including inter-company transactions and reconciliations
  • Coordinate with the US CPA for Delaware and state-level compliance requirements
  • Define and implement inter-company transaction policy between the India entity and the US subsidiary
  • Oversee US banking operations, payment processes, and expense policies

 

Plant and Inventory Finance

  • Monitor inventory valuation, stock verification, and material reconciliation
  • Control wastage, consumption variance, and production costing
  • Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Production, and Dispatch on finance-related matters
  • Audit and Internal Controls
  • Lead internal, statutory, tax, and cost audits
  • Develop and strengthen internal control systems and SOPs across all finance processes
  • Implement payment authorisation frameworks and approval hierarchies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures at all times

 

Systems and Process Building

  • Design and implement finance processes, workflows, and controls from the ground up
  • Standardise and document all finance operations including payments, collections, reconciliation, and statutory filings
  • Build a finance function that operates on robust systems and processes rather than on individuals
  • Drive discipline and accountability across the finance team through structured processes

 

Team Management

  • Lead and develop a team of 3 to 4 finance and accounts professionals
  • Conduct performance monitoring, training, and capability development within the team
  • Coordinate effectively with plant management, department heads, and the corporate office

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com
  • 15 to 20 years of experience in finance and accounts
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role
  • Manufacturing industry background strongly preferred, specifically chemical, specialty chemical, pharma, or process industry
  • Demonstrated experience managing banking relationships personally
  • Prior experience in an MSME or growth-stage business that was actively building systems and processes will be viewed favourably
  • Exposure to inter-company transactions, subsidiary management, or international finance operations is an advantage

 

Required Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Companies Act
  • Experience building finance systems, processes, and internal controls in a manufacturing environment
  • Standard costing and batch-level manufacturing finance expertise
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with high ownership expectations
