Senior Application Engineer
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for technical application support, bearing selection, validation, and customer interface for large size industrial bearings. Ensures right-first-time bearing solutions by translating operating conditions into optimized designs for reliable heavy-duty performance.
Customer Application Support
Interface with customers to understand operating conditions, loads, duty cycles, environment, and installation constraints. Act as technical point of contact for performance and reliability. Support sales during RFQs and solution finalization.
Bearing Selection & Engineering Calculations
Perform static & dynamic load ratings, bearing life calculations (L10, modified life), clearance, fit, and mounting recommendations. Recommend suitable bearing type, size, material, heat treatment, and sealing concepts. Ensure compliance with standards and customer specifications.
Design Review & NPI Support
Review customer drawings and translate into internal engineering inputs. Support new product development, customization, prototypes, samples, PPAP, and validation activities.
Failure Analysis & Field Support
Lead/support failure investigations, perform root cause analysis, recommend CAPA, and provide onsite technical support during commissioning, trials, and critical issues.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
Prepare and maintain application calculation reports, technical proposals, design validation summaries, and failure analysis reports. Maintain customer and project documentation databases.
Cross Functional Coordination
Coordinate with Sales & Business Development, Design Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams. Support customer audits and technical reviews.

External: OEM customers, EPCs, consultants, test agencies
