EXPORT TRACK

• International importers, distributors & OEM buyers

• Middle East, GCC, Bangladesh, Africa, SEA, USA

• B2B lead gen via Alibaba, LinkedIn, trade portals

• Long-cycle deals: sample → PI → trial order → repeat

• Multi-country pipeline management

 

• Identify and approach international importers, wholesalers, distributors, and OEM buyers of plastic packaging products in target markets (UAE/GCC, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria, Vietnam, USA, UK).

• Generate qualified export leads through B2B trade portals (Alibaba.com, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Made-in-China), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and international buyer databases.

• Manage the full export sales cycle: initial inquiry → product presentation → sample dispatch → proforma invoice → negotiation → trial order → repeat business.

• Prepare and send professional quotations, proforma invoices, and product specifications in line with international buyer requirements and Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW).

• Onboard and maintain overseas distributor and import-agent relationships; negotiate pricing, MOQs, and payment terms.

• Coordinate with the export documentation team to ensure timely and accurate shipment documentation (LC, BL, commercial invoice, COO, packing list).

• Represent MS Plastochem at international trade fairs and packaging exhibitions (Arab Plast, Plastivision, Gulfood Packaging) when required.

• Monitor competitor pricing and international market trends to refine export pricing strategy.

 

 

DOMESTIC B2B TRACK

• Indian FMCG brands, retailers, pharma, e-commerce co.

• West Bengal first; then pan-India key accounts

• Distributor & dealer network development

• Shorter sales cycles; relationship-driven repeat orders

• On-site client visits across India

* 3–6 years of B2B sales experience, with proven track record in either export/international sales or domestic industrial/packaging sales (ideally both).

* Experience in plastic packaging, flexible packaging, FMCG products, chemicals, polymer materials, or allied manufacturing industries is strongly preferred.

* Demonstrated ability to independently generate new client accounts — not just manage inherited accounts.

* Strong command of professional written and spoken English for international client communication; fluent Hindi and Bengali for domestic client communication.

* Working knowledge of basic export trade terminology: Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW), Letter of Credit (LC), Bill of Lading, Proforma Invoice for export track.

* Understanding of domestic B2B sales processes: proposals, commercial terms, distributor agreements, credit management for domestic track.

* Familiarity with trade portals such as Alibaba.com, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, or similar for lead generation.

 

* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel for pricing, Word for proposals); experience with any CRM (Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce) is an advantage.

* Comfortable with both field sales visits (domestic travel) and desk-based international outreach (email, WhatsApp, video calls with overseas buyers).

• Identify and acquire new domestic B2B clients in West Bengal and key Indian metros — FMCG manufacturers, retail chains, pharmaceutical companies, e-commerce fulfilment centres, food processing units, and institutions.

• Manage the full domestic sales cycle: prospecting → on-site demo/meeting → proposal → negotiation → purchase order → repeat supply contract.

• Build and nurture a portfolio of repeat domestic accounts, ensuring high retention and order frequency.

• Develop and manage a network of dealers, distributors, and stockists across assigned Indian territories.

• Conduct regular client visits (in-person) across West Bengal and travel to other states for key account development.

 

• Coordinate with the production team on order customisation requirements — size, printing, material grade, branding.

• Negotiate pricing, volume discounts, credit terms, and supply agreements with domestic buyers.

• Ensure payment collection within agreed credit terms; flag overdue accounts proactively to management.

 

• Maintain and update the CRM system (Zoho CRM) daily with all lead data, pipeline stages, visit notes, and follow-up actions for both export and domestic accounts.

• Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets across both export and domestic sales tracks as defined by management.

• Submit weekly sales reports to the Head of Sales — pipeline status, new contacts made, orders in progress, and revenue forecast.

• Assist in developing marketing materials — product catalogues, pricing sheets, and digital brochures — for both domestic and international buyers.

• Coordinate with the production, QC, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure on-time, quality-compliant delivery for all orders.

• Provide market intelligence feedback to management on pricing, competitor activity, product gaps, and buyer preferences across both markets.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

We are looking for a versatile, hungry sales professional who is equally comfortable sending a professional cold email to an importer in Dubai and sitting down for a chai with a procurement manager in Howrah. You are not a specialist in one narrow channel — you understand that business is relationship-driven whether the buyer is in Kolkata or Kuala Lumpur.

• Self-starter who can manage two parallel pipelines without losing focus on either.

• Strong communicator — professional and articulate in English for international buyers; warm and persuasive in Hindi/Bengali for domestic clients.

• Organised and disciplined with CRM and reporting — both pipelines must be kept live and updated.

• Resilient and target-driven — comfortable with the longer cycles of export sales and the relationship intensity of domestic B2B.

• Comfortable with domestic travel (2–4 days/month) and occasional international travel for trade fairs or buyer visits.

• Genuinely interested in building a long-term career in sales at a growing manufacturing company.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

 

 

PREFERRED / BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

• MBA or PG Diploma in International Business, Marketing, or Sales Management (IIFT, XLRI, IMI, SIBM, IMT graduates are encouraged to apply).

• Prior experience handling both export and domestic accounts simultaneously within the same organisation.

• Existing buyer/distributor relationships in packaging, FMCG, or manufacturing segments — domestically or internationally.

• Experience with UAE/GCC, Bangladesh, or African export markets, or West Bengal / pan-India FMCG distribution networks.

• Knowledge of DGFT export procedures, PLEXCONCIL membership, RODTEP benefits, RCMC registration for export track.

• Prior attendance at domestic or international trade fairs (PackagingIndia, PLAST INDIA, Arab Plast, Gulfood) as exhibitor or sales representative.

• Ability to converse in Arabic, Bahasa, or French is a bonus for export track; regional Indian languages are a plus for domestic field sales.
