Role Summary
We are looking for a performance-driven area Sales Manager to support and grow our FMCG sales operations. The ideal candidate will assist in managing channel, driving primary and secondary sales, executing sales strategy, trade promotion and ensuring market development and coverage across assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
• Planning and executing sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
• Manage distributor and ensure timely primary order processing, stock replenishment, and payment collections.
• Monitor and drive secondary sales through retail outlets, wholesalers, and modern trade partners.
• Implement trade schemes, promotional activities, and visibility initiatives in the market.
• Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to provide actionable insights.
• Ensure proper coverage and frequency of visits by the sales team across assigned geography.
• Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards for internal review.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in general trade or modern trade.
• Strong understanding of channel sales, distributor management, retail operations and team handling.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
