Position: Manufacturing Head Gold & Diamond Jewellery Manufacturing
Department: Manufacturing / Production
Location: (Howrah-West Bengal)
Reporting To: Managing Director
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Overview
The Factory Head will lead, manage & supervise the entire jewellery manufacturing operation from design conversion to final dispatch. The role ensures efficient production, strict control of gold and diamond inventory, high product quality, cost management, and timely delivery of orders.
Departments Under Supervision
The Person will supervise the following departments:
Procurement, Gold Inventory, Diamond Inventory, Quality Control (QC), Repairing Department, Product Design, B2B Sales Coordination, Time Office / Factory Admin & Old Gold (OG) Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management
• Plan and execute production based on sales orders.
• Allocate work to karigars and departments.
• Monitor production targets and remove workflow bottlenecks.
Cost & Inventory Control
• Control gold wastage and diamond usage.
• Monitor manufacturing cost and labour productivity.
• Ensure accurate gold and diamond inventory reconciliation.
Quality Assurance
• Maintain strict QC standards for design, finishing, and stone setting.
• Reduce defects, repairs, and rework.
Department Coordination
• Ensure smooth coordination between procurement, inventory, production, QC, and dispatch.
• Align production planning with order timelines.
Dispatch & Delivery
• Track order progress and ensure on-time completion and dispatch.
Old Gold (OG) Management
• Monitor purity testing, melting, and recovery of old gold.
• Maintain transparency and documentation.
Workforce Management
• Supervise karigars, supervisors, and factory staff.
• Monitor productivity, attendance, and discipline.
Security & Compliance
• Maintain strict security controls for precious metals and diamonds.
• Ensure proper documentation, audit readiness, and CCTV monitoring.

Qualification
• Graduate / Post Graduate (any discipline) with relevant experience.
• Jewellery manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience
• 10+ years experience in jewellery manufacturing operations in a leadership role.
