Job Description

We are hiring a Production Supervisor for the Forging Shop at our Silvassa factory. The candidate will be responsible for supervising forging operations, managing production activities, ensuring quality standards, and achieving production targets.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise various forging processes to produce well-formed metal components
• Manage end-to-end forging operations to achieve required shape, size, and physical properties
• Maintain process parameters through regular quality checks on finished products
• Deploy manpower as per production requirements
• Guide operatives and technicians to complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Ensure production targets and order fulfillment objectives are achieved
• Maintain records related to:
  • Production
  • Rejections
  • Material movement
  • Manpower productivity
• Implement lean manufacturing principles in the forging shop
• Inspect dies, machines, and work-in-process to identify malfunctions and initiate corrective actions
• Prepare skill matrices and train new workers on job responsibilities
• Create and maintain production entries in ERP systems

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor
• Strong knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and team management abilities
• Strong focus on product quality and safety standards
