A reputed steel manufacturing company engaged in large-scale industrial production is hiring a GM Production to lead plant operations, production planning, and manufacturing performance. - Lead overall production and manufacturing operations to achieve business targets.
- Plan and monitor production schedules for smooth plant functioning.
- Supervise shop floor operations, manpower utilization, and machine performance.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within quality and timeline standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, stores, and dispatch departments for smooth workflow.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce wastage.
- Monitor production efficiency, downtime, and operational performance regularly.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Prepare production MIS reports, performance analysis, and management updates.
- Lead and guide production teams, supervisors, and departmental staff effectively.
- Support capacity expansion, cost control, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Candidates with strong leadership experience in steel/manufacturing industries preferred.

Company Profile
The company is in midst of implementing a 0.42 Million Tonne Per Annum (MTPA) integrated steel plant to produce steel. Steel thus produced will consume 0.315 Million Tonne Sponge Iron from the proposed unit and 0.03 Million Tonne from the existing unit. Thus consuming the entire quantity of high grade sponge iron produced in its own manufacturing facilities. When iron is smelted from its ore by commercial processes, it contains more carbon, phosphorus, sulphar etc. than is desirable. To produce high quality steel, the elements must be brought to the within the desirable limits. The liquid steel is processed through AOD and VOD furnaces to achieve the desirable limits of elements. The liquid is then continuously casted into long slabs or through ingots.
