As part of our expansion, we are establishing a new manufacturing facility and building a strong operations team to support world-class manufacturing practices.


Role Summary

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring reliability, uptime, and preventive upkeep of all electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utility systems within the molded-fiber production facility. The role involves maintenance planning, equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities to minimize downtime and improve plant efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for:
    • Forming machines
    • Hot presses
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Vacuum pumps
    • Blowers
    • Conveyors
    • Dryers
    • Plant utilities
  • Maintain electrical systems including:
    • Electrical panels
    • Motors
    • Drives (VFDs)
    • PLCs
    • Sensors
    • Plant lighting systems
  • Lead installation, alignment, and commissioning of relocated and newly installed machinery at the Ecofy facility.
  • Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory, raise procurement requests, and coordinate with vendors for critical spares.
  • Prepare and update:
    • SOPs
    • Preventive maintenance schedules
    • Lubrication charts
    • Equipment history cards
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate closely with production and quality teams to minimize downtime during production changeovers.
  • Ensure adherence to electrical safety norms, LOTO (Lock-Out Tag-Out), and machine guarding standards.
  • Train operators and junior technicians on:
    • First-line maintenance
    • TPM practices
    • Basic troubleshooting techniques

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechatronics Engineering
  • 3–6 years of hands-on maintenance experience in:
    • Pulp & Paper Industry
    • Molded Fiber Manufacturing
    • Packaging Industry
    • Process Manufacturing Plants
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Hydraulics
    • Pneumatics
    • Steam systems
    • Compressed-air systems
    • Vacuum systems
    • Boilers
  • Familiarity with:
    • PLC troubleshooting (Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Delta)
    • VFDs
    • Basic SCADA systems
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • P&IDs
    • Electrical schematics
    • Mechanical drawings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of:
    • RCA
    • 5-Why Analysis
    • FMEA
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts and handle plant emergencies.
