Purpose of the Role

Provide financial leadership and strategic support to the business by ensuring robust financial planning, control, reporting, governance, and compliance, while enabling informed decision-making and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Performance Management

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

• Monitor business performance against budgets and targets.

• Drive financial discipline across all functions.

• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

• Evaluate business cases, investments, and pricing decisions to enhance profitability and value creation.

2. Finance Operations & Internal Controls

• Oversee finance operations, processes, and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

• Establish and strengthen internal control frameworks.

• Safeguard company assets through strong financial governance and risk management practices.

3. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate internal and external audits.

4. Tax & Regulatory Management

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and statutory regulations.

• Develop and implement performance management systems that promote accountability and high performance.

• Guide and support leaders in managing team performance and aligning rewards with business outcomes.

5. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.

• Oversee banking relationships and funding requirements.

• Optimize capital structure and financing strategies.

6. Leadership & Team Development

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team.

• Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and financial discipline.

• Act as a strategic business partner to leadership teams by providing financial analysis and insights.

• Develop succession plans and future finance leadership capabilities.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is mandatory.

• MBA or Master's Degree will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 10–15 years of progressive finance experience.

• Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.

• Experience within FMCG or related industries preferred.

• Proven expertise in:

  • Strategic Finance

• Experience working in a multi-entity or group structure will be an advantage.
