We are expanding our presence across India and are looking for professionals who can identify business opportunities, support tendering activities, manage approvals and registrations, and generate actionable market intelligence in the Power Infrastructure sector.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineer / Sr. Engineer – Tendering, Approvals, Registrations & Market Intelligence to be based in Assam and manage business development support activities across the entire North Eastern Region, including:
• Assam
• Arunachal Pradesh
• Meghalaya
• Manipur
• Mizoram
• Nagaland
• Tripura

• Sikkim

The role will focus on identifying and evaluating tender opportunities, supporting costing and estimation activities, coordinating registrations and approvals, tracking upcoming infrastructure projects, and developing market intelligence related to Transmission Lines, Substations, Distribution Networks, Renewable Energy Evacuation Systems, and Electrical EPC Projects.

The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently, willing to travel extensively, and comfortable operating in a startup environment where processes and systems are developed from the ground level.

Key Responsibilities

Tender Sourcing & Opportunity Identification

• Monitor Government, PSU, Utility, and Private Sector procurement portals for upcoming opportunities.

• Identify and track tenders related to:
o Transmission Lines (HV/EHV)
o Substations
o Power Distribution Projects
o Renewable Energy Infrastructure
o Electrical EPC Projects

• Analyze tender eligibility criteria, technical specifications, and commercial requirements.
• Prepare tender evaluation reports and recommendations for management.

Costing & Estimation Support
• Assist in preparation of project cost estimates and bid pricing inputs.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project execution teams for quantity and cost assessments.
• Support bid strategy formulation and competitor benchmarking.
• Maintain cost estimation databases and commercial records.

Approvals & Registrations

• Manage vendor registrations, empanelments, enlistments, and qualification processes with utilities, government departments, and EPC clients.
• Coordinate approvals, certifications, and renewal requirements.
• Maintain records of registrations and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with clients and utilities for registration and pre-qualification opportunities

Market Intelligence & Business Development Support

• Track upcoming infrastructure investments, utility expansion plans, and government initiatives across the North East.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, awarded contracts, and industry developments.
• Develop and maintain databases of utilities, consultants, contractors, and prospective clients.
• Generate regular market intelligence reports to support business strategy and growth initiatives.

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain tender calendars, opportunity trackers, and registration databases.
• Coordinate with internal teams for collection and submission of bid documents.
• Ensure proper documentation and record management of all tenders, approvals, and registrations.
• Support management in strategic business development and expansion initiatives.

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Diploma holders with relevant industry experience may also be considered.

Experience

• 2 – 10 years of relevant experience in:
o Tender Sourcing
o Costing & Estimation
o Transmission Line Projects
o Substation Projects
o Power Distribution Projects
o Electrical EPC Industry

Technical Skills
Strong understanding of tendering procedures and procurement systems.
• Knowledge of transmission, substation, and power infrastructure projects.
• Experience in project estimation and commercial evaluation.
• Familiarity with Government and Utility procurement processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
