About the Role

A renowned jewellery brand is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head – Diamond Jewellery E-Commerce & Online Sales to establish and lead its online diamond jewellery business. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for building a scalable e-commerce ecosystem, driving digital revenue growth, managing online sales channels, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in jewellery e-commerce, digital marketing, marketplace management, customer acquisition, team leadership, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute the overall online sales strategy for the diamond jewellery business.
  • Establish and scale the e-commerce business model and operating framework.
  • Define product assortment, pricing strategy, and online revenue targets.
  • Create short-term and long-term growth plans for the online sales division.

E-Commerce Platform Development

  • Lead the setup, launch, and management of the company’s diamond jewellery e-commerce platform.
  • Coordinate with website developers, payment gateway providers, logistics partners, and technology vendors.
  • Ensure seamless user experience, website security, and operational efficiency.

Product & Catalogue Management

  • Oversee product photography, videography, and digital catalogue creation.
  • Manage product listings, certifications, descriptions, pricing, and inventory integration.
  • Ensure accurate and attractive presentation of diamond jewellery collections online.

Marketplace Management

  • Establish and manage online sales through leading marketplaces and digital platforms.
  • Optimize product visibility, marketplace performance, and revenue generation.
  • Monitor marketplace metrics and drive continuous improvement.

Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition

  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to increase online sales.
  • Manage SEO, SEM, social media campaigns, influencer collaborations, email marketing, and performance marketing initiatives.
  • Improve customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Build brand visibility and strengthen online reputation.

Operations & Fulfilment

  • Establish order processing, packaging, shipping, and returns management systems.
  • Collaborate with logistics and customer support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and lead e-commerce, digital marketing, content, and customer support teams.
  • Develop SOPs, KPIs, and performance management frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor website traffic, customer behavior, online sales performance, and profitability.
  • Present business performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency and business growth.

  • Proven experience in launching and scaling e-commerce businesses.
  • Strong understanding of online customer acquisition and digital commerce.
  • Prior experience in jewellery, luxury retail, fashion, or premium lifestyle brands will be highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
