AGM/DGM - BLAST FURNACE - WEST BENGAL
Job Description:
An AGM or DGM role in Mechanical Projects for a Blast Furnace involves leading multimillion-dollar erection, commissioning, and revamping. Responsibilities include managing capital expenditures, cast house equipment, hot blast stoves, Gas Cleaning Plants (GCP), and slag granulation systems, alongside ensuring compliance with plant designs
- Erection & Commissioning: Overseeing the mechanical installation of large-capacity blast furnaces (e.g., >680 to 4000+ m³).
- Pre-Commissioning Testing: Executing hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, pipeline flushing, and refractory dry-out phases.
- Process Machinery Oversight: Managing equipment related to coal/powder injection systems (PCI), stock house burden handling, and cooling plate mechanisms.
- Budget & Vendor Management: Generating Capex proposals, preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and directing onsite contractors.
- Engineering Standards: Familiarity with welding procedures (WPS), Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), and detailed mechanical drawings.
