Job Description:

Position: Deputy Manager/Manager - Procurement

Location:  Assam (Site Location)

Education: BE/B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical

Experience: 8 to 15 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management of Civil, Mechanical & MEP packages/items having exposure in EPC or EPCM projects such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, Solar, Construction and other industrial projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• The Procurement Manger/Lead will lead the entire procurement process to ensure that all procurement of materials, plant, services and sub-contracts is carried out in accordance with project and company procedures and that all fiscal and quality requirements are met.
• Follow the established procurement processes and procedures on site.
• Manage the compilation of Requests for Prices documentation for all procurement (materials, plant, equipment, services and sub-contracts)
• Plan, direct and co-ordinate the activities of the procurement team, including procurement information flowing to and from all departments
• Manage the procurement process of supplier and sub-contractor selection
• Set up and manage the register of approved suppliers
• Establish procurement programme in co-ordination with the planning engineer for all items to be procured.
• Recognise critical procurement activities and lead times for key items
• Negotiate terms and conditions for procurement
• Place orders for procurement, with the appropriate authorisations and approvals in place
• Monitor the progress of requisitions and orders
• Identify changes to the scope of procurement and implement and track changes
• Liaise with all suppliers and sub-contractors until all supply issues are closed
