Job Description:

We are seeking a Junior IT Network Engineer eager to build a career in enterprise networking. This role offers hands-on exposure to network design, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting across LAN/WAN, cloud, and security environments. Ideal for candidates with foundational networking skills who are ready to take the next step.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▸ Install, configure, and maintain network equipment — routers, switches, firewalls, access points (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or equivalent).

▸ Monitor network performance and availability using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios; respond to alerts and escalate incidents appropriately.

▸ Assist in configuring VLANs, VPNs (Site-to-Site, SSL), OSPF/BGP routing protocols, and QoS policies.

▸ Troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 connectivity issues, DNS/DHCP problems, and WAN outages.

▸ Support the helpdesk team on network-related end-user tickets (connectivity, Wi-Fi, remote access).

▸ Maintain accurate network diagrams, IP address management (IPAM) records, and change logs.

▸ Assist in implementing network security policies, firewall rules, and ACLs.

▸ Participate in capacity planning discussions, hardware procurement, and vendor coordination.

▸ Support cloud network configurations in Azure Virtual Network, AWS VPC, or GCP.

▸ Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network infrastructure.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

▸ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering.

▸ CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent in progress / recently obtained.

▸ Working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting, VLANs, STP, and routing protocols.

▸ Familiarity with firewall concepts and basic network security (ACLs, NAT, port forwarding).

▸ Basic scripting ability (Python, Bash) for network automation is a plus.

▸ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical troubleshooting approach.

▸ Good written and verbal communication — ability to document and explain technical issues clearly.

NICE TO HAVE

▸ CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification.

▸ Exposure to SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Meraki, VMware Velocloud).

▸ Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Netmiko.

▸ Hands-on lab experience with GNS3, Packet Tracer, or EVE-NG.

WHAT WE OFFER

▸ Hands-on mentorship from senior network architects.

▸ Lab environment for continuous learning and certification preparation.

▸ Cisco, Juniper, or CompTIA exam voucher support.

▸ Exposure to multi-vendor, multi-site enterprise network environments.

▸ Clear career path toward Senior Network Engineer / Network Architect role
