Job Description:
We are currently looking for experienced professionals with a strong background in Account Management, Client Relationship Management, Business Development, and Sales within the Rail, Transportation, or Logistics sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers within the rail industry.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct regular business reviews and client meetings to understand business needs and objectives.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within rail accounts.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Sales & Negotiations
- Lead the preparation of proposals, contracts, and pricing models.
- Negotiate commercial terms and secure long-term agreements.
- Drive business growth through successful account expansion.
Project Management & Delivery
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor contract performance and address client concerns proactively.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Stay informed on rail industry trends, regulations, digitalization, sustainability initiatives, and emerging technologies.
- Provide strategic insights and maintain accurate sales forecasts and account reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of experience in Account Management, Sales, or Business Development.
- Experience within Rail, Transportation, Logistics, Infrastructure, or Mobility sectors.
- Strong understanding of freight/passenger rail operations, industry regulations, and customer management.
- Proven experience managing key accounts and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with rail operators, infrastructure providers, or supply chain partners.
- International rail business experience.
- Knowledge of sustainable transportation solutions.
- Fluency in German or Italian is a plus.
