Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITY: -
- To Conduct EHS training programs as per the approved training plan and maintain training records.
- Coordinate Safety Committee meetings, prepare Minutes of Meeting (MOM), and track closure of action items.
- Actively participate in Safety Committee activities and promote a positive safety culture across the organization.
- Support and ensure timely completion of monthly EHS compliance activities, particularly in the absence of the EHS Lead.
- Coordinate with internal and external interested parties on EHS compliance requirements and related communications.
- Develop, implement, and periodically review Emergency Response Plans; organize and evaluate emergency mock drills.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Ensure the availability, operational readiness, and periodic inspection of firefighting systems, emergency equipment, and first-aid/medical facilities.
- Review and update Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Environmental Aspect & Impact Assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and support to all departments on Environment, Health, and Safety requirements and best practices.
- Monitor and audit the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system to ensure compliance with established procedures.
- Coordinate with employees, Safety Committee members, occupational health professionals, and canteen committee members to address health and welfare concerns.
- Ensure contractors and third-party personnel comply with site EHS requirements and safe work practices.
- Conduct EHS induction training for new employees, contractors, visitors, and other personnel as required.
- Participate in the investigation of incidents, accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Prepare and maintain EHS reports, records, statistics, and documentation as required.
