Job Profile

Sales Professional (Rubber & PU Belts)

1. Sales & Business Development

 Identify and generate new business opportunities across OEMs, distributors, industrial

clients, and maintenance departments.

 Conduct field visits, product demonstrations, and customer presentations.

 Develop and execute territory-wise sales strategies to achieve monthly/quarterly

targets.

 Handle end-to-end sales cycles—lead generation, negotiation, closing, and post-sales

support.

2. Customer Relationship Management

 Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat sales.

 Understand customer needs, applications, and machinery requirements to recommend

suitable belt types.

 Address customer complaints, handle after-sales queries, and coordinate with technical

teams for solutions.

3. Product & Market Knowledge

 Develop strong technical knowledge of rubber transmission belts, poly-V belts, timing

belts, and their industrial applications.

 Monitor competitor products, pricing, and market trends.

 Provide feedback to management on product performance and market opportunities.

4. Reporting & Documentation

 Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and maintain CRM records.

 Follow up on quotations, purchase orders, and payment collections.

 Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, or industry networking events.

Key Skills & Competencies

 Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical components, especially powertransmission products.

 Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

 Ability to understand machinery setups and belt application requirements.

 Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable with extensive travel.

 Competent in lead management and territory planning.

Required Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in mechanical engineering, Polymer Engineering, Rubber

Technology, or related field and able to understand engineering drawings.

 Strong understanding of:

o Rubber/polymer compounding

o Reinforcement textiles and cords

o Power transmission design principles

o Endless belt moulding and curing processes

Experience: 5-7 years in same Products field
