Team Lead- Safety (Unit- 2)
Job Description:
. Safety Leadership & Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements such as Factories Act, OSHA standards, GPCB, Pollution Control Board, etc.

Develop and implement plant safety policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans.

Conduct internal safety audits, inspections, and ensure timely closure of non-compliances.
2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Management
-
Perform Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and HAZOP for chemical processes.

Monitor high-risk activities such as confined space entry, hot work, chemical handling, material movement, etc.

Investigate incidents/accidents/near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
3. Training & Awareness
-
Conduct safety training programs for employees, contract workers, and new joiners.

Organize toolbox talks, mock drills, safety campaigns, and awareness programs.

Promote a strong safety culture within the organization.
4. Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain and update safety documentation, MSDS, permits, and legal records.
-
Prepare monthly safety reports, KPIs, accident statistics, and present to management.
-
Ensure proper documentation of ISO 45001/14001 or other safety management systems.
5. Team Management
-
Lead and mentor the safety team, including Safety Officers and EHS executives.

Coordinate with production, maintenance, HR, and other departments for safety implementation.
