Job Description:

. Safety Leadership & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements such as Factories Act, OSHA standards, GPCB, Pollution Control Board, etc.

• Develop and implement plant safety policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans.

• Conduct internal safety audits, inspections, and ensure timely closure of non-compliances.

2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Management

• Perform Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and HAZOP for chemical processes.

• Monitor high-risk activities such as confined space entry, hot work, chemical handling, material movement, etc.

• Investigate incidents/accidents/near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

3. Training & Awareness

• Conduct safety training programs for employees, contract workers, and new joiners.

• Organize toolbox talks, mock drills, safety campaigns, and awareness programs.

• Promote a strong safety culture within the organization.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain and update safety documentation, MSDS, permits, and legal records.

• Prepare monthly safety reports, KPIs, accident statistics, and present to management.

• Ensure proper documentation of ISO 45001/14001 or other safety management systems.

5. Team Management

• Lead and mentor the safety team, including Safety Officers and EHS executives.

• Coordinate with production, maintenance, HR, and other departments for safety implementation.
