Job Description:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of solid experience in PPIC, Inventory Control, or Material Management, explicitly within a hydraulic equipment, heavy machinery, or customized fabrication manufacturing environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of hydraulic components (valves, cylinders, pumps) and their storage/handling sensitivities (e.g., preventing contamination of seals and polished piston rods).
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) & Master Data Management
- Maintain, update, and audit accurate BOMs for complex hydraulic assemblies, including Hydraulic Power Packs (valves, pumps, motors, tanks, etc.) and Hydraulic Cylinders (tubes, piston rods, flanges, seals).
- Collaborate with the Design/Engineering team to seamlessly implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) into the production system.
- Inventory & Stock Planning
- Establish and optimize safety stock levels, reorder points, and maximum inventory thresholds for critical long-lead items (e.g., submersible motors, specialized valves) and high-volume consumables (e.g., oil seals, gaskets).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical stock verification to ensure 98%+ inventory accuracy.
- Material Requirement & Purchase Planning (MRP)
- Analyze the production schedule to forecast material requirements and generate timely purchase requisitions.
- Coordinate closely with the Procurement team to ensure raw materials and components arrive Just-In-Time (JIT), preventing production downtime and excess capital lock-up 4. Storage & Warehouse Optimization
- Design and implement efficient storage layouts tailored to diverse components—from heavy, bulky items (cylinder tubes, tanks) to delicate, precision parts (oil seals, electronic junction boxes).
- Enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices and visual management (5S) across the storage area.
