Electrical Installation cum Service Engineer – Material Handling Equipment

Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for Electrical Installation, Control Panel Wiring, Commissioning, Troubleshooting, and Preventive Maintenance of Hydraulic Goods Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Electric Stackers, and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Ensures smooth operation of electrical systems while providing Technical Support and After-Sales Service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission Electrical Systems for Hydraulic Lifts, Electric Stackers, Scissor Lifts, and other Material Handling Equipment.

• Perform Control Panel Wiring, Motor Connections, Sensor Wiring, Limit Switch Installation, Push Button Wiring, Relay Logic Wiring, Contactor Wiring, VFD Installation, and Safety Interlock Systems.

• Read and interpret Electrical Schematics, Control Circuit Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and Electrical Drawings.

• Conduct Machine Commissioning, testing, and ensure proper functioning of all Electrical Components.

• Troubleshoot Electrical Faults in Motors, Control Panels, PLC Systems, Sensors, Battery Systems, and Electrical Circuits.

• Carry out Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Breakdown Maintenance activities.

• Test and validate Safety Systems including Overload Sensors, Emergency Stop Circuits (E-Stop), Door Interlocks, and Safety Relays.

• Coordinate with the Mechanical Installation Team during complete machine installation and commissioning.

• Provide Customer Support, Technical Assistance, and operational guidance at customer sites.

• Maintain Service Reports, Electrical Inspection Reports, Maintenance Logs, and related documentation.

• Travel to customer locations for Site Installation, Commissioning, Breakdown Support, and Maintenance Services.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Industrial Electrical Systems, Control Panels, and Machine Wiring.

• Expertise in Electrical Troubleshooting, Motor Controls, Power Distribution, and Control Circuitry.

• Hands-on experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), VFD (Variable Frequency Drive), Relays, Contactors, MCBs, SMPS, and Safety Devices.

• Knowledge of Battery-Operated Stacker Systems, Battery Chargers, and DC Power Systems.

• Understanding of Hydraulic Lift Electrical Integration and Electro-Mechanical Systems.

• Ability to independently handle Field Service, Installation, and Customer Site Support.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / BE in Electrical Engineering

• 2–5 Years of Experience in Electrical Installation, Commissioning, and Field Service Engineering.

• Experience in Lift Systems, Hydraulic Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Electric Stackers, or Material Handling Equipment preferred.
