Job Description:

Position: HR Manager

Department: Human Resources & Administration

Reports To: CEO / Plant Manager

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for managing all HR functions, administration, employee relations, and occupational health & safety to ensure smooth plant operations, legal compliance, and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, employee records, attendance, payroll coordination, and performance management.
  • Handle expatriate documentation, visas, work permits, and employee welfare.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, disciplinary procedures, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Lead workplace health and safety programs, safety training, and awareness campaigns.
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and accident/incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with PPE requirements, emergency response procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate safety audits, maintain safety records, and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with government authorities on HR and safety-related matters.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Safety, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in HR and Administration within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in beverage, food, or FMCG manufacturing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, industrial relations, and occupational safety standards.
  • Experience working in Africa will be an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Good knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, and statutory compliance.
  • Ability to conduct safety training, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR management systems.
