The Service Engineer is responsible for Installation, Testing, Commissioning, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and After-Sales Technical Support of Distribution Transformers and Power Transformers at customer locations. The candidate will ensure Customer Satisfaction through timely resolution of technical issues and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, Test, and Commission Distribution and Power Transformers at customer sites.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Breakdown Maintenance activities.
- Diagnose Electrical Faults and Mechanical Faults in transformers and associated equipment.
- Conduct Insulation Resistance Testing, Winding Resistance Testing, Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR) Testing, and other transformer-related tests.
- Attend Emergency Service Calls and provide timely Technical Support and solutions.
- Prepare Service Reports, Inspection Reports, and Site Visit Reports.
- Coordinate with customers regarding Maintenance Schedules and service requirements.
- Work closely with Production, Testing, and Design Teams for technical support.
- Monitor Transformer Performance after commissioning and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper handling of Testing Instruments, Service Tools, and Spare Parts.
- Maintain Service Records, Warranty Documents, and Customer Complaint Records.
- Train customers on Transformer Operation, Preventive Maintenance Practices, and safety procedures.
- Follow all Electrical Safety Standards, PPE Guidelines, and company safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with IS Standards, IEC Standards, and Quality Standards.
- Maintain strong Customer Relationships and support After-Sales Service Activities.
