Hiring Plant Manager (Plant Head) for a reputed company in waterproofing products in buildings and civil engineering projects

Job Description:

Looking for a Plant Manager with strong management skills who would be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, from strategic planning and resource management to team leadership and continuous improvement. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise and a focus on achieving operational excellence while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering a safe and productive work environment.

The position would report directly to the Managing Director of India.

Min 12 to 20 Years of experience in Textile, Chemical, Cement and Paper Industry or  a relevant manufacturing setup.

1. Broadly 5-6 plant functions will report into the plant head (Production, Operations, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, Utilities, Support Functions)

2. Operations Management: Overseeing day-to-day operations of the plant, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics. Optimizing processes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining product quality.

3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all local laws, regulations, and permits related to the manufacturing operations.

4. Team Leadership: Leading and motivating a diverse team of employees, including supervisors, engineers, technicians, operators and workers.

5. Planning: Developing and implementing plans to achieve production targets and operational goals. Ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and market demands.

6. Resource Allocation: Managing resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials effectively.

7. Health, Safety, and Environment Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and standards.

8. Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with internal stakeholders (such as senior management, other departments) to meet company goals. Building and maintaining relationships with externalstakeholders, including suppliers and service providers.

9. Financial Management: Managing the plant's budget and expenditures effectively.
   
   
10. Crisis Management: Addressing any emergencies or unexpected situations that may impact plant operations promptly and effectively.

Desired Candidate
1. Ideal Candidate – 12 to 20 Years of experience in a relevant manufacturing setup (not necessarily from competition organisation). At present the candidate who is a senior Operations/Productions role in a comparable organisation scale will be an ideal fit for the role.
2. Preferences Candidates from Gujarat/sufficient experience in Gujarat.
3. Candidate with exports exposure will also be a high value add.
4. Candidate should have a long term approach on creating SOPs, laying out processes, formulating strategies, with a knack of being hands on.
5. Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
