Job Description:

Department: Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
Location: Anand, Gujarat (Responsible for all 4 units)
Reporting to: Head – HR & Administration / Plant Head
Experience Required: Minimum 8–12 years in Industrial Safety (Heavy Engineering /
Fabrication / Crane Manufacturing preferred)
Qualification:
 Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil)
 Mandatory: Diploma in Industrial Safety (Recognized under the Factories Act)
 Certification in ISO 45001 / NEBOSH will be an added advantage

Position Objective:
To establish, implement, and drive a robust safety management system across all operational
units of Anupam Industries Ltd. The Safety Manager will ensure statutory compliance,
prevent occupational incidents, foster a culture of safety, and build a sustainable risk control
framework in alignment with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety System Implementation & Monitoring
 Design, implement, and periodically review safety policies, procedures, SOPs, and
Permit to Work systems (PTW) across all units.
 Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements under Factories Act, Gujarat
Factory Rules, Environment Protection Act, and other relevant EHS laws.
 Conduct regular safety inspections and internal audits; drive closure of non-
conformities through root cause analysis.
2. Risk Assessment -Control & EPP
 Lead Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis
(JSA), and implement risk mitigation strategies for high-risk activities (e.g., crane
operation, working at height, confined space entry, hot work, etc.).
 Prepare and update unit-wise Emergency Response Plans, and conduct periodic
mock drills.
 Establish the SOP for EPP & awareness to all employee.
3. Incident Management & Investigation
 Oversee reporting, investigation, and documentation of all near-misses, unsafe
acts/conditions, and incidents.
 Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) using methodologies like 5 Whys / Fishbone
Diagram, and implement Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).

4. Safety Culture & Behavioural Safety
 Drive Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives across units to build a proactive
safety culture.
 Organize Safety Week Celebrations, Theme-Based Safety Campaigns, and Contractor
Safety Engagement Programs.
 Conduct Mock drill and awareness to concerned employees.
5. Training & Capacity Building
 Develop and execute annual safety training calendar for employees, contract
workforce, and frontline supervisors.
 Deliver induction, toolbox talks, specialized training on fire safety, electrical safety,
first aid, and material handling.
6. Cross-Functional & Inter-Unit Coordination
 Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Projects, HR, and Security teams
for seamless integration of safety in operations.
 Standardize safety practices across all 4 units and monitor their adherence via
monthly safety dashboards.
7. Statutory Compliance & Liaison
 Maintain statutory registers and reports as per Factory Act / DISH / GPCB
requirements.
 Prepare for and coordinate DISH inspections, Fire Department NOCs, Environmental
audits, and compliances.
 Handle documentation related to accident reporting, compensation claims, insurance,
and contractor safety compliance.
Key Competencies & Attributes:
 Strong knowledge & Documents record of Indian safety legislation and global EHS
standards (ISO 45001)
 Proven track record of managing multi-unit industrial safety
 Analytical thinking with strong reporting and documentation skills
 Confident trainer and communicator across workforce levels
 Proactive, disciplined, and hands-on leadership style.
 Conduct Mock- drill to every workshop as per the pre-approved/scheduled time.
