JD For Mechanical Maintenance Operator

Job Title: Maintenance Operator (Mechanical)

Location: Silvassa

Department: Mechanical Maintenance

Purpose of Job: Responsible for the preventive maintenance, safety procedures, and other activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Principal Accountabilities:
1) To implement preventive maintenance as per plan.
2) Check for problems in the machines which are in operation and ensure for smooth working of all
the machines.
3) To attend break down and replace parts as per instruction.
4) Ensure to attune the maintenance work as per work / job instruction in optimized time limit
5) Providing the feedback of the maintenance work to the shift engineer / supervisor and maintain
good operating practices.
6) General maintenance of machine & tool change, job change activities as and when planned by
production department..
7) Follow all the safety procedures while working as described by the senior.
8) Now we are having Five No’s of Fitter. One for Utility Maintenance & operating, compressor
operation & Four for shed area machinery maintenance, such as Breton Resin line, Breton Polish line,
Gang saw, crane, bridge cutting, block dressing, gantry, Mosaic Area Machine, Mobile Crane,
Forklift, Golf Cart etc.
9) Fitter daily fill up their day to day work in their work log book & sign by Mechanical Engineer.
10) Daily Working Hour meter reading taken for the machinery for actual Running.
11) Daily round up the total machinery of the plant & fill up the daily check Point list for the all
machinery so that we can prevent the major break down.
12) Preventive Maintenance carried out as per schedule weekly, monthly, half yearly & yearly.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
- 3-5 years’ experience in similar Profile
ITI / Fitter, Welder, Turner Trade
