POSITION OVERVIEW
The Risk Officer will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive Risk Management Framework for the Company’s retail showrooms, manufacturing divisions, refinery/bullion operations, logistics, corporate functions, and HR processes. The role also includes supporting the Company in IPO readiness, ensuring that internal controls, statutory compliances, documentation, and risk reporting meet the standards required for listing. The position requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of regulatory compliance, understanding of internal controls, and the ability to monitor risks across multi-location operations. The Risk Officer will continuously identify existing and emerging risks and assist management in strategic planning and decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain the ERM framework, risk governance structure, and Risk Register.
- Identify, analyse, and evaluate risks across all business units.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments for showrooms, manufacturing units, refinery operations, logistics, finance, and IT.
- Monitor SOP adherence and recommend process improvements.
- Review key operational risks including inventory discrepancies, shrinkage, cash handling, and bullion movement.
- Evaluate internal controls, support internal audits, and track audit closure.
- Implement preventive controls to reduce fraud and operational errors.
- Maintain compliance calendars and ensure timely renewals and filings.
- Support IPO readiness by aligning internal controls and compliance with SEBI and Companies Act requirements.
- Coordinate on ICFR, due diligence, DRHP risk disclosures, and closing compliance gaps.
- Implement key IPO-related governance policies (Insider Trading, RPT, Whistleblower).
- Investigate irregularities, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support implementation of safety standards and conduct periodic safety audits.
- Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery preparedness.
- Prepare key risk reports, dashboards, and documentation for audits and IPO processes.
- Conduct training on risk awareness, fraud prevention, SOP adherence, and safety.
- Promote a risk-aware and compliant culture across the organisation.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Law, Business, or equivalent.
- Master’s degree (MBA / LL.M / M.Com / PGDM) is preferred and will be considered an added advantage.
- 3–7 years’ experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or internal controls.
Preferred:
- IPO or listed-company experience.
- Certifications like ERM, CIA, CISA, CFA (any level).
