Job Description:
This role requires an experienced Mechanical Engineering professional to oversee maintenance, utilities, and process machinery in a Starch/Glucose powder manufacturing plant in Dhule MIDC. The candidate will lead the maintenance team to ensure maximum plant uptime, statutory compliance, and cost efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
- Plant Maintenance & Reliability: Develop, execute, and monitor Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and predictive maintenance schedules for rotary and static equipment.
- Utility Management: Oversee the upkeep of heavy utilities common to starch/glucose processing, including Boilers, Thermic Fluid Heaters, Turbines, Cooling Towers, ETP, and RO plants.
- Breakdown Management: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and minimize production downtime
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate performance for shift engineers, technicians, and mechanics. Allocate workloads and manage contractor/vendor relationships.
- Budget & Inventory: Manage the maintenance budget, ensure strict control over spare parts inventory, and coordinate with procurement for parts and services.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to GMP, OSHA, and environmental safety norms. Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all maintenance and breakdown events.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma holders with exceptional experience may be considered).
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience strictly within Starch, Liquid Glucose, API, or Chemical/Bulk Drug manufacturing plants.
- Key Skills: Expertise in pumps, agitators, centrifuges, evaporators, decanters, and piping systems. Strong knowledge of SAP PM module or standard CMMS.
- Location & Salary: On-site in Dhule Dondaicha MIDC, Maharashtra.
- Salary is budgeted between 12 to 14 LPA (depending on the candidate's exact background and interview performance
