Surgical Oncologist

Surgical Removal: Performs operations to remove solid tumors, surrounding tissues, and affected lymph nodes.

Biopsies & Diagnostics: Conducts surgical biopsies (e.g., excisional, incisional, or needle-assisted) to diagnose, stage, and grade tumors.

Minimally Invasive Procedures: Utilizes robotic, laparoscopic, or endoscopic techniques to remove tumors with faster recovery times.

Palliative Surgery: Performs procedures to relieve pain, clear blockages, or manage complications caused by advanced tumors.
Medical Oncologist

Systemic Cancer Therapies: Prescribes and manages chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and hormone treatments.

Treatment Planning & Coordination: Acts as the primary care lead for cancer management, coordinating with surgeons, radiation oncologists, and pathologists.

Monitoring & Follow-Up: Evaluates tumor response through imaging/blood tests, manages drug side effects, and tracks long-term remission.

Advanced & Metastatic Care: Oversees ongoing systemic management for advanced or metastasized cancers.
